Continental Assembly

The Continental Assembly is the highest decision-making body of the Kolping Society of Europe. It meets once a year and has the task to determine key contents of work, to elect the board, to fix membership fees and to decide on programme and constitution.

The Continental Assembly is composed of representatives of the European National Associations which may, depending on the election of members, send 2 to 5 delegates to the Continental Assembly. Apart from that, the respective General Praeses and the General Secretary of the International Kolping Society belong to the Continental Assembly as well as the delegate of the Kolping Society at the Council of Europe and the European Union.

Invitation to Continental Convention 24 to 26 May 2019 in Rome / Italy

To whom it may concern in the national associations
Dear Kolping sisters, dear Kolping brothers

We are pleased to invite you to attend this year’s Continental Convention.

to be held in
Kolping Hotel Casa Domitilla, Via della Sette Chiese 280, I-00147 Roma with accommodation being provided at the conference venue.

The convention will start on Friday, 24 May with a joint dinner and it will end on Sunday afternoon. Since it was not possible to have a papal audience with Pope Francis we will be driving to St. Peter’s Square for the Angelus prayer where we will be greeted by the Pope. This is where we will finish our convention.

Please find attached to this invitation the conference programme with some further information and the registration form. Further conference documents will follow in March 2019.

We kindly ask you to register no later than Wednesday, 20 February 2019 (cancellation deadline for hotel rooms). If by this date your delegates have not yet been determined, you should notify us the number of rooms and on which days you require accommodation.

We look forward to a good and successful conference where we will talk about business and exchange information but there will also be time to enjoy Rome as a city. And, last but not least: We look forward to seeing you!

Kind regards and “Treu Kolping“

On behalf of the executive board of Kolping Europe
