18.09.2013: Workcamp in Romania: 27 young people from four countries renovate a youth center

Young people help other young people: At the end of August, 27 young people from Germany, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine went to Heltau/Cisnadie for a week. They worked very hard to redecorate the Day Care Centre for School Children “Noah’s ark”. With the help of tools, paint and paint-brushes they painted the walls inside and outside and created a playground. As a reward, they received a diploma and a Voluntary Certificate after the work was finished.

This transnational and intercultural initiative encouraged the young people to voluntary commitment, existing solidarity and concrete help for poor children – and to intercultural exchange.

This initiative has been organized by the diocesan organization of Bamberg and Kolping Romania.
