17.03.2015: Poland - Counselling in times of social difficulties

A special service for the people in Poland is provided by the legal services for people in need.

Entire books would have to be filled, if one wanted to list the projects and activities that the Kolping Families and the National Kolping Society of Poland have undertaken in recent years.  Attention is always paid to ensure that, if possible, the activities also contribute to the growth of the Association.

A special service for the people in Poland is provided by the legal services for people in need.  More than 7,000 counselling sessions took place in 2013 alone.  In addition there were over 6,000 telephone calls to pass information on to citizens.  Mobile counselling days were provided in 37 places, in order to give people the opportunity to inform themselves regarding their rights when dealing with authorities.  Especially for people who cannot afford a lawyer, these counselling services of the Kolping Society of Poland are the only chance to learn more about their rights.  Here, the needs of the time were recognized – and acted upon!
