12.12.2014: The name of Adolph Kolping in Germany and all over the world

Kolpingplatz in Cologne is just one of the 1,088 streets, alleys, lanes and places which are named after Adolph Kolping alone in Germany.

This shows the updated list which has now been published by Kolping member Harald Benzler from Bornheim. 19 years ago, he published the first version without any Internet support. The index also lists well-known and particular locations which have been named after Adolph Kolping such as monuments, Kolping Houses, training centres, youth hostels, kindergartens, training centres, parish centres, bus stops, memorial stones, chapels, bells, students’ hostels, family holiday centres, schools, meeting centres, path of reflections and hikers’ cabins. The index is complemented by a list of special stamps and coins of the Federal Republic of Germany. Download here.

There is a separate international list naming streets, places, Kolping Houses, chapels, etc. all over the world that have been named after Kolping as far as they are known to Harald Benzler. 30 streets alone in 14 countries on all continents - except Australia - have been listed up so far. Download here.

Public institutions which have not yet been included in the list, or new public institutions that are named after the Father of the Journeymen may be reported to: ikw@kolping.net
